The Sommerset program is a residential treatment center for boys and girls ages 10 – 14 located in Springville, Utah. Sommerset has been in existence as a distinct program successfully treating students since 1993 and is owned an operated by Provo Canyon School. The program is designed to meet the needs of boys and girls who have unique behavioral, emotional and social delays. The structured living environment provides separate boys and girls programs and allows therapists, cottage staff, and teachers to dedicate their time to the distinct developmental needs of the student body. The staff to student ratio allows therapists to provide immediate feedback, support in setting daily goals, while leaving time for learning, exercise, fun and play.

The program is licensed by the Utah Department of Human Services and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accredited Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The elementary and middle school are accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS).

Built For One Purpose…

The Program was built and designed from the ground up for one purpose; to provide a holistic environment where children can excel physically, emotionally and academically.

The 10 acre campus allows for plenty of space for youth to succeed in therapy, academics, fitness, nutrition, art and recreational activities. Among its generous amenities, the campus includes oversized classrooms, music room, full size gymnasium, climbing wall, fitness center, library and art rooms for the various activities in their weekly schedule. Additionally, there are two separate boys and girls cottages housing 32 youth which are further divided into two, 16 bed sides named after the various mountain peaks surrounding the campus. The Sommerset Program helps girls and boys ages 10 – 14 reach their full potential and return to home, school, and the community.
