About Us
Hina Mauka has a 30- year history of serving a wide variety of clients with addictions. We use a multidisciplinary, holistic approach to the treatment of individuals with addictions and dual diagnosis. This is a team approach that is client centered.
Hina Mauka's Medical Director and Physicians specialize in addiction medicine and psychiatry; our counseling staff are CSAC certified, hold an advanced degree, or are provisionally certified; the clinical team also includes RN nursing staff; Treatment Associates; Clinical Directors; and administrative and operational support staff.
Accreditation
In 2005, Hina Mauka received its 3rd consecutive Three-Year Accreditation outcome from CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. The accredited programs & services include:

This accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Hina Mauka’s substantial conformance to the standards established by CARF
Scope of Services
The Hina Mauka service continuum offers treatment of adults through several levels of care including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, Outpatient Treatment and Aftercare.
School-based adolescent outpatient treatment is offered at 17 high schools throughout Hawaii under a purchase of service contract with the Hawaii Department of Health.
Cost of Services
Services are covered in part by most insurance carriers. State funding is available for selected services.
By expanding our services to an Outpatient and Day Treatment program in Waipahu and Lihue, Hina Mauka accommodates a greater number of clients and extends Hina Mauka's success to a growing community need.
Upon meeting certain qualifications, funding is available through the State of Hawaii Department of Health (Alcohol & Drug Abuse Division and Adult Mental Health Division) and the Hawaii State Judiciary. undefined undefined
