Program Description:

Addiction recovery success is what has made Cottonwood Recovery a leader in the field of alcoholism and drug dependency treatment. Located in the beautiful and dramatic Sonoran Desert area of Tucson Arizona, it is the perfect environment to deal with recovery from alcoholism, drug addiction and other behavioral problems involving addiction. Frequently one’s chemical dependency is coupled with a psychiatric or emotional illness. Cottonwood de Tucson’s staff is trained to effectively manage these co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis) by designing an individualized treatment program for each client. Our co-occurring disorder treatment is considered by many to be among the finest in the field of addiction and recovery. Many of us have felt the same pains and problems you may be experiencing. Some of us have histories of depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, co-dependency, trauma, as well as other issues. For each of us, our greatest growth has come through pain and learning how to overcome it.

Through facing and understanding the problems in our lives, we have become happy, confident people. But that does not mean we are problem-free. The happy demeanor you will see within us is a direct result of the effort we have put into developing personal programs that bring balance to our lives.

We have discovered contentment, balance and joy and are eager to share the keys to that experience with you. We believe that nowhere in the world is there a better place to make the discovery of your happy, productive self than with us at Cottonwood.

Our Mission
Cottonwood provides experientially based programs with spirituality being the core. Our valued and respected employees offer the tools to change lives for those who experience Cottonwood. Our organizational belief is that the patient comes first.

InnerPath:
"InnerPath is a series of workshops and retreats designed to give participants insight into critical life issues and explore personal strategies to balance mind, body and spirit in a safe, supportive environment."

Have you experienced the loss of living that comes from unresolved grief associated with major life changes such as divorce, death of a loved one, loss of a job?

Is your anger isolating you from your co-workers, friends and family and taking a toll on your physical and mental well being?

Are you sick and tired of the unhealthy dynamics in your close relationships?

Do you feel blocked by traumatic events from your past?

All of our workshops and retreats are designed to give you the opportunity to work on these issues in the safe environment of your choice.

What is InnerPath?
Innerpath is a series of workshops and retreats designed to give participants insight into critical life issues and explore personal strategies to balance mind, body and spirit in a safe, supportive environment. These programs can accomplish significant results because of the dynamic interaction between participants and our staff, and a powerful variety of therapeutic experiences such as the challenge course, and expressive arts. The Nash House, home of InnerPath is located next to the Cottonwood Recovery Treatment Center on thirty-five acres of lush, desert grounds. Only minutes from the center of Tucson, it is distant enough to maintain a feeling of rural peace and tranquility. You can fully concentrate on continuing the work necessary to be a full participant in your own life. While attending the programs at the Nash House, we hold group and one on one discussions in a safe, respectful and fully-confidential environment.

All of the InnerPath programs differ from others in that we use various types of experiential therapy to help participants reach a deep level of awareness with relative ease. The use of psychodrama, challenge course experience, and grief and loss support plus the dynamic work of our primary facilitators help to create an experience that changes lives.
