Our Holistic Addiction Treatment Program engages the union of mind, body and spirit. We build new lives through adventure therapy, equine therapy, ropes & challenge course therapy, nutrition & wellness therapy along with a full range of traditional, experiential, and integrated therapies with a strong emphasis on trauma resolution, the 12 steps, life skills, social responsibility, and having FUN in recovery which engages a lifelong recovery.

Decision Point Center was founded in 1997 by Nick DeGeorge Myers, an individual who is intensely committed to, and passionate about, helping others achieve a healthy, balanced, productive, and happier life in recovery. Located within the heart of a recovery community, our program is designed with a vision and mission to meet the needs of those who continually struggle with chronic relapse behaviors, addiction disorders, compulsive behaviors, co-dependency, mental health issues, and underlying trauma. In addition, our program is designed for those who need a continuum of care beyond the traditional 30 day programs.

Our belief and treatment philosophy at Decision Point Center is that trauma is the core issue of addictions, compulsive behaviors, and chronic relapse. Common aspects of trauma involve feelings of complete helplessness in the face of real or perceived physical or emotional danger. We have come to know trauma as an extreme dramatic event or series of events and experiences overwhelming the individual's ability to integrate the emotions relative to that experience or event. We have now recognized that trauma can be even more subtle; a perceived threat can also be traumatic. Trauma can be encoded at a cellular level or trapped in the body where it impacts the way an individual may react or behave without any conscious awareness as to why. We believe that addictions and addictive behaviors are dysfunctional coping mechanisms used as a way to medicate and escape from pain, shame, and trauma. Over time, these dysfunctional behaviors can become a progressive and fatal disease known as "addiction". Through our comprehensive, integrated, individualized and holistic approach, individuals are able to identify and address the underlying core issues as well as the core features directly related to their addictive behaviors.

Decision Point Center provides a confidential, therapeutic, and healing environment to reduce or eliminate the barriers to recovery. We challenge individuals to discover their own personal strengths so they become the healthy, loving people they aspire to be.
