Program Description:

Rosecrance Griffin Williamson Campus is a 78 bed, 67,000 square foot adolescent substance abuse treatment center located on fifty acres in Rockford, Illinois. The mission of Rosecrance is to offer hope, healing and recovery to children, youth, adults and families. The special and individual needs of adolescents and their families are our primary concern. The campus is situated in a peaceful setting overlooking ponds, beautiful serenity gardens, and a large wooded area. The treatment center includes an on-site school, a chapel, a gymnasium and a fitness center which provides the structure to help adolescents reach their goals.

We believe that alcohol and other drug addictions are chronic, primary and progressive diseases with multiple causes that affect the social, physical, spiritual, cultural and emotional components of an individual's life. Successful treatment requires a comprehensive program to address problems and prepare for a successful recovery. It is also Rosecrance's philosophy that individuals with a dual diagnosis of mental illness and addiction should receive concurrent treatment when appropriate.

Rosecrance embraces the Continuum of Care philosophy. This is the approach of choice for substance abuse treatment because it truly starts with your individual needs. You enter treatment at the level of care that best serves you. From your treatment entry point, you then complete the treatment continuum, with progress carefully monitored all along the way. Treatment ends when you complete the final level of care.

Addressing an adolescent’s struggle with substance abuse means understanding the emotional, developmental, physical, psychological, familial, social and cultural factors involved in their addiction. At Rosecrance, we have developed an evidence-based program that incorporates clinical, medical, educational and experiential therapies into a comprehensive individualized treatment plan.

Rosecrance is committed to providing a variety of services to meet the needs of its patients and families. Your length of stay in all treatment programs is dependent on your progress and accomplishment of treatment goals—as determined by you, your counselor and your family.
